Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 April 2026
At Keno Aus, we are committed to protecting your personal information in full compliance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) outlined in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). As the data controller, we manage the personal data you provide when organising offline entertainment events featuring professional dealers, themed tables and custom setups for occasions including corporate functions, team-building sessions, weddings, charity events, private celebrations and similar gatherings. Our services focus on delivering memorable experiences through games such as Roulette, Poker, Blackjack and Craps, all presented in immersive themed environments — without any involvement in real-money activities. We collect only the data necessary to coordinate your event, communicate updates, process bookings and improve our platform. The lawful bases for processing include fulfilling our contractual obligations when you book an event, pursuing legitimate interests in efficiently managing our operations, obtaining your consent for optional communications such as post-event feedback or promotional updates, and meeting legal requirements including record-keeping for taxation and consumer protection under Australian law. We never engage in automated decision-making or profiling that could significantly affect you.
Transparency is central to how we operate. When you enquire about an event, we collect details such as your name, email address, phone number, event date, venue preferences, guest numbers and any specific requests — solely to tailor your experience. We never use your information for unrelated purposes and we will not sell, rent or trade it with third parties. Our Australian operations mean we are subject to local privacy laws only, with no cross-border data transfers unless necessary and protected by standard contractual arrangements. Security measures include SSL/TLS encryption for all communications, access controls limited to authorised staff, regular vulnerability assessments and incident response protocols. In the event of a data breach, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
You have rights under the APPs including accessing your data, correcting inaccuracies, requesting deletion subject to legal retention periods and objecting to certain types of processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at events@kenoaus.com and we will respond within 30 days. We retain data only as long as necessary: booking details for up to 7 years to meet Australian Taxation Office requirements, contact information for 1–2 years, and analytical data for up to 2 years. After those periods, data is securely deleted using methods such as cryptographic erasure. We review this policy at least annually and post updates here with the date last modified. Continued use of our site following any changes constitutes acceptance. As our events are strictly 18+, we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age. We use cookies sparingly — essential ones for site functionality, functional ones for remembering preferences, and analytical ones via Google Analytics with IP anonymisation enabled. Full details are available in our Cookie Policy. If you are unsatisfied with how we handle your information, you may lodge a complaint with the OAIC at https://www.oaic.gov.au. We are always happy to hear from you first.
We collect specific categories of personal information to deliver tailored services for your events, always following the principles of necessity and minimisation under the APPs. When you submit an enquiry or booking, we gather your full name, email address, phone number and sometimes postal address to confirm arrangements and send communications. Event-specific data includes the date, time, venue, estimated guest count, preferred themes and custom requests such as specific game configurations or additional features. If you select a package, we process basic payment information through secure third-party providers such as Stripe, but we never store sensitive card details — only transaction identifiers for record-keeping. Automatically collected technical data via cookies or server logs includes IP addresses, device types, browser versions, pages viewed, session durations and referral sources, all used to analyse site performance and improve the user experience without personally identifying you. We do not collect sensitive information such as health data unless you voluntarily provide it for accessibility purposes, in which case it is used solely for that event and deleted immediately afterwards.
Retention periods are clearly defined: financial transaction records are kept for 7 years per ATO guidelines, event booking details for 5 years to handle any disputes, enquiry contacts for 1 year, and technical logs for 2 years before secure deletion. We conduct regular audits to purge unnecessary data. If you withdraw consent for marketing communications, we act immediately, though this does not affect any existing event arrangements. You may request access to your data at any time by emailing events@kenoaus.com — we provide a copy free of charge unless the request is excessive. We can also export your data in a standard format such as CSV upon request. Our security infrastructure includes firewalls, encryption at rest and in transit, multi-factor authentication for staff access and regular penetration testing by external specialists. Employees sign confidentiality agreements and receive regular privacy training. All third-party processors are bound by data processing agreements ensuring APP compliance. No data leaves Australia without appropriate safeguards in place.
We share your personal information only when strictly necessary to deliver our services or comply with Australian legal obligations, always with robust safeguards in place. For event setups, we may disclose limited details to trusted suppliers such as equipment providers or staffing agencies, but only under binding contracts that mandate equivalent privacy protections and prohibit further disclosure. Analytics providers receive anonymised data only. Payment processors receive transaction details but not full card information, and they are PCI DSS compliant. In rare circumstances, we may share data in response to lawful requests from Australian authorities, and only after verifying legitimacy and minimising what is disclosed. We never share data for marketing purposes without your explicit consent. If you suspect unauthorised access to your information, please report it to events@kenoaus.com immediately. We are committed to making privacy as straightforward as the events we create — stress-free, transparent and always in your best interests.
